Welcome Message from Chair

 

Welcome to Hong Kong, home of the 2018 International Conference on Control and Robots (ICCR 2018 – www.iccr.net) which will be held during the period September 15-17, 2018. As Conference Chair, I am sure that this event will bring together an impressive group of researchers, practitioners, and academicians with the sole goal of exchanging results of their work, advancing the state of the art in the twin areas of control systems and smart robotics science and technology. Smart robotics bring together diverse concepts, disciplines, and techniques that, together, create a collaborative variety of useful devices, manipulators, and autonomous entities that serve intended purposes of specific human communities such as manufacturing devices, medical and remote manipulators that function in a broad range of environments. Control technologies provide the basic tools used by robot creators to identify strategies, and optimizers to achieve the goals of the robotic enterprise. The conference focuses on the trending, exciting and highly challenging areas of Computationally Intelligent Control Systems and Optimization algorithms. Applications include aerospace, underwater, biological medical and underground systems.

The conference brings together World Class participants and young researchers looking for opportunities for exchanges that cross the traditional discipline boundaries and allows them to resolve multidisciplinary challenging problems that only a venue of this nature can offer. As it is the clear intent of the conference to offer excellent mentoring opportunities to participants, and I urge you all to take advantage of this conference. Through this highly advanced event we trust that you will be able to share the state-of-the-art developments and cutting-edge technologies in the broad areas of Control and Robots. The conference team including myself truly believes that active participants will find the discussion erudite and informative, and will enjoy the opportunity for sharing research results. I hope this success can develop into persistent success annually, in which there are presenters from all corners of the globe and all major countries.
